Flash fiction, java edition

So I wrote a very wistful, kind of girly version of this....and I didn't read over it afterwards so maybe it would be a little more flash-y. If you know what I mean.
Anyhow, I would love to hear what people think. This is a fun challenge!

  2. I really liked this part, "She had always come here alone, piled underneath mountains of homework and books, and had forged in the little space of the table a tiny little artist’s peace, aloof and glorying in her stress and despair."

    It gives a good sense of looking back on things that are both trivial and significant. Something may be silly in the grand scheme of the world, but that doesn't mean it isn't important to someone.
